Mike Halley, President of Allied Technology, has over 30 years of experience in the custom automation, machine design and robotic system integration business.
He started his career after completing Vocational Drafting and Design in High School and then a Tool and Die Makers Design Apprenticeship at the International Tool Company in Dayton, Ohio. Having been mentored for 5 years by some seasoned automation and machine designers, developing Automation Systems for the Automotive and Aerospace Industries, he took their advice, putting work on hold and attended The Ohio State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Following college, he worked at a major machine tool company in Cincinnati, Ohio, in their R&D department, developing state of the art Linear Motor driven Laser Cutting Systems, Hydraulic Press Brakes and Positioning Systems. After eight years, he decided to move his family to Colorado and worked for an Automation Company designing and building Automotive Air Bag Manufacturing Systems. Eventually, he decided to venture out on his own and started Allied Technology in 1997.
Having worked for 10 years as a Contract Design Engineer for various companies around the country, he acquired a warehouse and office space in 2010 started designing and building systems sold by Allied Technology. Currently, Allied Technology has (10) engineers and technicians, an in-house machine shop for R&D development and production, and 7200 square feet of office and warehouse space in Broomfield, Colorado.
